The New Jersey Department of Transportation lifted the restriction on the movement of commercial vehicles at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities urged motorists to avoid unnecessary travel.
The restrictions included the following highways in both directions:
I-78, full length of the Pennsylvania border to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike)
I-80, running the length of the Pennsylvania border to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike)
I-280, full length from I-80 to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike)
I-287, the entire length of NJ Route 440 at the New York State border
NJ Route 440, from Outerbridge Crossing to I-287
The commercial vehicle movement restriction applies to:
All semi-trailers (exceptions listed in the administrative decree)
Empty CDL weighted upright trucks
Passenger vehicles pulling trailers
Recreational vehicles
motorcycles
This restriction DOES NOT APPLY to:
New Jersey Highway
The Garden State Walk
Atlantic City Freeway
